About Center City Concerts

FREE MUSIC PERFORMANCES
IN THE HEART OF CHARLOTTE

Center City Concerts at St. Peter’s, established in 2013, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that produces diverse musical programs offering a high quality of performance for the education, enrichment, and enjoyment of the community and region of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Noontime Programs. Center City Concerts’ noontime programs are of fine classical and contemporary music. We engage a wide variety of ensembles ranging from small chamber groups to larger orchestras. While attendance is free, donations are solicited at our concerts.

Attendance. Concert series audiences span the age spectrum. Audience members live and work in Center City Charlotte, visit from the suburbs and out-of-town, or are residents of neighboring independent, special needs, and assisted living communities.

Citywide Benefit. Center City Concerts’ cultural presence in an increasingly vibrant Uptown Charlotte contributes to the city’s reputation and desirability to the benefit of residents, employees and businesses, and visitors and newcomers alike.

Funding. Center City Concert’s Board of Directors’ goal is to produce extraordinary concerts that are free to the public, but such events don’t happen without expense. Only with the support of businesses, institutions, and individuals can the Board raise and maintain the funds needed to pay the artists, promote concerts, cover administrative costs, etc. Other sources of funding include audience member and other individual donations, occasional grants, and fund-raising events.

Gratitude. The Center City Concerts Board of Directors offers thanks for all contributions to the remarkable performances from 2013 to present.
